Terms of Service
ThreeOwl Awareness — John Onorato
Last updated: 29 January 2026
This document outlines my Terms of Service. It describes the expectations, boundaries, and agreements that guide all coaching services offered by ThreeOwl Awareness.
It is my hope that these boundaries will provide safety, structure, and groundedness in our relationship together.
My intention is to create a clear, steady foundation for our work together — one that supports safety, autonomy, and mutual respect.
By engaging with my services, you agree to these terms.
ThreeOwl Awareness provides trauma‑informed life coaching focused on clarity, alignment, and personal growth.
Coaching is a collaborative, forward‑looking process that supports you in navigating transitions, strengthening self‑trust, and living in alignment with what matters most.
At the same time, coaching is not therapy, counseling, psychiatric care, or medical treatment. I do not diagnose, treat, or prevent mental health conditions. You are responsible for seeking appropriate professional support for any clinical, medical, or crisis‑related needs.
Even with my guidance, you remain the expert of your own life. All decisions, actions, and outcomes are ultimately yours.
To work with ThreeOwl Awareness, you must be 18 years or older.
Exceptions can be made on a case-by-case basis.
Clients agree to:
Participate honestly, to the best of their abilities, and in good faith.
Communicate respectfully and maintain appropriate boundaries.
Use coaching as a supportive resource, not as a substitute for crisis intervention.
Seek immediate help from emergency or crisis services when needed.
Sessions are scheduled in advance, on my website or by phone contact.
However, I do know that life happens, and plans change — and clear boundaries help us both stay grounded in the relationship we share. Therefore:
Cancellations or rescheduling requests must be made at least 24 hours before the session.
Late cancellations or no‑shows may be charged the full session fee.
If you arrive late, the session will still end at the scheduled time.
If I need to reschedule, I will provide as much notice as possible.
Glitches happen, too. If technology issues interrupt an online session, I will do all I can to reconnect immediately. I expect you to do the same. If reconnection is not possible, we will discuss options for rescheduling or adjusting the session.
Session rates are provided during the onboarding process and/or on my website.
Payment is due after the session concludes. I will charge your preferred method later that same day.
Accepted payment methods: Venmo, Zelle, PayPal, and Credit/Debit cards.
Refunds are not offered for completed sessions.
Prepaid sessions or packages are refundable only for unused sessions, and only if services are formally discontinued in writing or email.
Your privacy matters deeply to me. I promise to keep what you share confidential, with the following legally required exceptions:
If you express intent to harm yourself or someone else.
If there is suspected abuse or neglect of a minor or vulnerable adult.
If I am required to comply with a court order.
If I feel I may need to invoke one of these exceptions, I will talk to you about it first, before I take it to any third party.
I store client information securely and use it only for coaching‑related purposes. This includes all forms and any notes I might take. While I take care with digital communication, all online platforms carry inherent risks.
In order to maintain clarity and emotional safety in our relationship:
Email or messaging may be used for scheduling or brief check‑ins.
I do not provide crisis support or ongoing text‑based coaching between sessions.
When you message me, I’ll endeavor to respond in 24 hours or less, though this is not a guarantee.
If you are in crisis, please contact local emergency services or a crisis hotline immediately.
Most sessions occur via Google Meet or other videoconferencing platform. I’m happy to arrange in-person sessions, though at this time I do not have a suitable office space.
Therefore, clients are responsible for:
Having a stable internet connection.
Ensuring a private, quiet space for the session.
Managing their own technology setup.
If technical issues arise on my end, we will reschedule or adjust as needed.
It is relevant to note that I live with my mother, who is 94 and has some dementia. She does not respect boundaries, so it is possible she may barge in while we are in session. If this or any other interruption occurs, I will handle it promptly and return my full attention to you. I strive to ensure your session receives the full, uninterrupted attention it is intended to have.
ThreeOwl Awareness is a space for respect, curiosity, and grounded exploration. I reserve the right to discontinue services if:
Boundaries are repeatedly crossed,
Communication becomes harmful or abusive,
Coaching is no longer appropriate or aligned.
If services are ended, unused prepaid sessions (if any) will be refunded.
All materials I create — including worksheets, exercises, written content, and website text — are the intellectual property of ThreeOwl Awareness. You may use them for your personal growth but may not reproduce, distribute, or repurpose them without my express written permission.
Coaching is a supportive process, but outcomes cannot be guaranteed. You agree that ThreeOwl Awareness is not liable for decisions you make as a result of guidance you receive here, or for any other consequences of coaching, whether direct or indirect.
Either of us may choose to end the coaching relationship at any time. If you have prepaid for sessions, we will discuss how to handle any remaining balance.
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, USA.
I may update these Terms of Service periodically. When changes are made, I will share the updated version and the date it takes effect. Continued use of services indicates acceptance of the revised terms.
